L&T-MHI, a Joint Venture formed between Larsen & Toubro (L&T), India and Mitsubushi Heavy Industries (MHI), Japan for engaging in the business of design, engineering, manufacturing, selling, maintenance and servicing of Supercritical Boilers and Pulverisers in India.
The Company has established manufacturing facility that can manufacture pressure parts and pulverisers at Hazira, near Surat in the state of Gujarat with the technological support from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Limited.
L&T-MHI have placed orders for Boiler Supporting Structures namely Top Girders, Primary Structures, Millbay & Outrigger structures, Buckstays and Packer/Liner plates for their projects at JP Nigrie (2x660MW); Mahagenco, Koradi (3x660MW) & L&T, Rajpura (2x660MW).

Carmeuse Majan LLC, a joint venture company led by Belgium-based Carmeuse Holding SA, is setting up the project in the Salalah Free Zone with an investment of around US$180m. A total of eight kilns, each with a lime capacity of 125,000t/yr, are envisioned as part of the project. The main reasons of this choice are the presence and availability of very high quality limestone reserves, the presence of a free zone promoting industrial developments (Salalah Free Zone) and a very well located logistic hub, the Port of Salalah, to export to the surrounding Gulf countries and to India, both growing markets.
