FLSmidth Minerals is FLSmidth’s other core business area and handles all the Group’s activities in the Minerals area. FLSmidth Minerals is a global company with headquarters in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, USA and regional offices worldwide. FLSmidth Minerals’ four international full service engineering centres are located in Denmark, India, South Africa and USA.
Through FLSmidth Denmark we have exported Structural Steel; Material Handling Equipment, & Process Equipment for many Cement Plant projects worldwide – Slantsy, Kurskaya, OJSC Shurovsky Cement & Podgorensky Cementik in Russia, Gulf Cement, SUA Kuwait & Sumbe Cement in Angola to name a few.

Carmeuse Majan LLC, a joint venture company led by Belgium-based Carmeuse Holding SA, is setting up the project in the Salalah Free Zone with an investment of around US$180m. A total of eight kilns, each with a lime capacity of 125,000t/yr, are envisioned as part of the project. The main reasons of this choice are the presence and availability of very high quality limestone reserves, the presence of a free zone promoting industrial developments (Salalah Free Zone) and a very well located logistic hub, the Port of Salalah, to export to the surrounding Gulf countries and to India, both growing markets.

Through Sandvik we have executed two stacker cum reclaimer machines for JSW Jaigarh Port Ltd. Bucket Wheel Stacker Reclaimer to Dolvi site. Both are success fully commissioned and now we are loaded with a Essar – Ship Loader.
