POSCO E&C India Pvt. Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary of South Korean giant, POSCO E&C Co. Ltd., registered in India since Mar 2007. POSCO E&C India’s primary business is Construction, Fabrication, Erection Works under infrastructure and hydro projects.
From its strategic business planning to design, construction and test-run, POSCO E&C not only has been implementing a series of projects, but also has earned trust from its customers in diverse industries including plant construction for steel plant, environmental plant, power plant, new city development & architecture, social overhead capital (SOC) and skyscrapers.

Carmeuse Majan LLC, a joint venture company led by Belgium-based Carmeuse Holding SA, is setting up the project in the Salalah Free Zone with an investment of around US$180m. A total of eight kilns, each with a lime capacity of 125,000t/yr, are envisioned as part of the project. The main reasons of this choice are the presence and availability of very high quality limestone reserves, the presence of a free zone promoting industrial developments (Salalah Free Zone) and a very well located logistic hub, the Port of Salalah, to export to the surrounding Gulf countries and to India, both growing markets.
